Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Remittance to lead the go-to-market and partnership initiatives for this emerging business line.
In this role, you’ll drive the exploration and execution of strategic remittance partnerships, work cross-functionally to shape product-market fit, and unlock scalable revenue opportunities within both domestic and cross-border payment corridors.
This is a highly strategic, high-impact role ideal for someone with deep domain expertise in remittance, money transfer operators, or payment systems, and a strong passion for crypto innovation.
In this role, you will
- Spearhead the business development strategy for PINTU’s remittance initiatives from 0 to 1.
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities, regulatory considerations, and competitive landscape within local and regional remittance corridors.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with key players including remittance networks, money transfer operators (MTOs), payment aggregators, FX providers, or fintech enablers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams—Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing—to shape and launch remittance-related offerings.
- Negotiate commercial terms, drive deal structuring, and lead business case development for each partnership.
- Stay updated on global trends in crypto remittance, blockchain-based transfers, and digital cross-border payments.
Who We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales in the remittance, cross-border payments, or fintech industry.
- Proven track record in sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact deals with financial institutions, MTOs, PSPs, or B2B remittance enablers.
- Strong understanding of remittance infrastructure, money movement, FX dynamics, compliance/regulatory frameworks, and/or agent-based networks.
- Excellent network within the local and/or Southeast Asia remittance or payment industry.
- Experience collaborating with product and legal teams to bring deals to market.
- Passionate about crypto, blockchain, or digital assets and their role in transforming global payments.
Nice to have if you
- Exposure to crypto or blockchain-based remittance or settlement systems.
- Understanding of regulatory licensing frameworks for payment institutions, particularly in Indonesia or SEA.
- Experience in early-stage go-to-market strategy, ideally within a startup or scale-up environment.
